About FoxLSAT

FoxLSAT was founded by Nathan Fox in 2009.  Nathan Fox scored a 179 on the LSAT and is the sole instructor at FoxLSAT, which insures all students are getting the full experience.  FoxLSAT aims to give students the best quality test prep, to help them gain entrance to top schools, and keep the test prep pricing reasonable.  Nathan Fox focuses on teaching his students how to prepare for the exam as opposed to inefficiently studying for the exam.  He uses real LSAC released questions that are recent and relevant, and he offers flexible payment plan options to his students.

 

Basics

Nathan Fox has mastered the LSAT as is evidenced by his score of 179.  Nathan is passionate about teaching, which is why all of his classroom and in-person group classes are taught by himself.  FoxLSAT offers both online and in-person classes along with group and one-on-one test prep options.  Students can schedule a free consultation to determine the correct class fit for their needs.

FoxLSAT aims to be able to provide quality LSAT test prep to all its students.  For this reason, FoxLSAT offers scholarships to students facing a financial burden.  Those students who meet minimum performance benchmarks are eligible to apply for full test prep tuition scholarship.

Along with traditional LSAT test prep, Nathan Fox also hosts an LSAT Podcast and runs an LSAT blog to help students with all aspects of the law school application process.  In addition to writing the books used in the course, Nathan Fox has written a plethora of other books on how to master the LSAT.

FoxLSAT is ideal for students who like a “no nonsense” and “no frills” approach to test prep.  There are options for students who need the flexibility provided by online learning, options for students who enjoy the camaraderie of a classroom setting, and options for students who need some one-on-one help to boost their score those last few points.  FoxLSAT offers something for everyone, as long as the student is willing to work hard with materials provided.

    Most of the time in classes was spent doing practice tests. The teacher would frequently say that the correct answer was obvious and belittled students. Overall, a very negative experience.

    Nathan's expert guidance through the rigors of LSAT preparation cannot be understated. His sole focus is that every student grasp the essential tenets of the test, so that each is prepared for any question, regardless of confusing language or dry content. Beyond the test, Nathan encourages his students to embrace the Law as a career of lifetime fulfillment, and to take the LSAT twice or three times in order to achieve a score that will translate to future success. He reaffirms the importance of correct answers rather than speedy test-taking, and his approach helped me improve my LSAT score tremendously over my year of studying.

    After trying a few different LSAT prep courses, I can definitely recommend Nathan Fox's and Ben Olson's LSAT studying program called The Demon. It is AMAZING and tunes in to your biggest areas of weakness. I would suggest The LSAT to demon to all.

    Nathan at Fox LSAT made studying for the LSAT fun. His colloquial way of breaking down difficult material made hard subjects easy to understand. I loved the method of just taking the exam and reviewing answers after. I used the online service which helped because I could prepare on my own time and fit it into my busy graduate school schedule.

    • What law school application advice do you have for prospective students?: The most important things about school choice are: 1) the culture and 2) geographic job placement data. Don't go to a school where you don't like the people and where you can't get a job in the city you want to live.

    Helped make studying fun. Was helpful to be able to sit for 30 minutes and do some practice and be able to come back. It explained the logic games so well and I felt like I was actually learning and getting better.

    1. Start listening to "Thinking LSAT" podcast 2. Download LSAT Demon (there is a free trial period) 3. If you can afford Nathan's books, buy themNathan's no-nonsense approach to the LSAT was key in mastering some of the trickier questions. He doesn't try to wow you with gimmicks or pneumonics, instead he breaks down each part of the question logically and helps you train your brain to see the problems for what they are. His approach works for those who get stressed at tests and for those who are unbothered.

    • What law school application advice do you have for prospective students?: Tell a personal story that shows who YOU are. Don't restate your resume in an essay format, the personal essay can be funny, sad, or an event that left an impact on you. Whatever it is, just allow the story to paint a picture of who are you, rather than saying "As captain of the debate team I demonstrated clear leaderhip..." it's painful to read. Don't make your essay all about why you want to go to law school, yes, mention it, but obviously you want to go to law school since you're already applying...

    Nathan Fox has developed products in multiple mediums to help prepare for the LSAT. I found his work after stumbling on to his “Thinking LSAT” podcast, then worked my way through his logic games playbook before subscribing to the LSAT Demon app. He has made preparing for the LSAT extremely accessible and was the principle reason I scored above 170.
