    Kaplan is a great perp course. They have tutors who teach class every Tuesday and Thursday, at least, that was my experience. The tutors are also available through email if you don't understand something. They have additional material online to help you with your journey. The resources include exercises, videos from LSAT teachers going over every section in detail. Kaplan also provides you with books, which are mailed to you before the courses starts

    The program was a really great starting place for test prep. It was helpful to have a structured prep program to learn basic concepts, however, the group setting wasn't ideal for more advanced things as most of the other students were not scoring in the same range as me. I started with a 163 diagnostic and was at around a 170 PT average by the end of the ten week class. I scored 175+ on the LSAT after putting in another month of practice.

    I used Khan Academy cus it was free and thought it worked really really well (i got a 171 and studied 6-8 hrs a week for a few months) They had a ton of actual tests to practice with and different mini sections with how to videos and tips for different types of questions and a built in schedule with reminders that was super helpful - they take your diagnostic score and your goal score and give you recommendations for scheduling how much to study and what to study based on when your test isId definitely try it out before dropping 100$ on something

    I've tried all the tools powerscore, 7sage, Kaplan, khan etc. Finally I realized that self study wasn't working for me. The test in my opinion is all about learning different thought patterns and repetition. I noticed that I struggled with consistency, discipline, and understanding these materials. I will say the most useful tool for me has been khan's practice test as I know have a private tutor to take the November 2022 LSAT.

    I primarily used the Kaplan LSAT test prep book over the course of about 3 months. I found the materials really helpful and easy to understand. If you're self-motivated and disciplined and want to go at your own pace, this is a great option for you to consider. At the same time, you may need additional practice, so online resources are really helpful.

    In person classes were great and helped me raise my score. They taught me strategies that could not have been self-taught. Only bad thing was the cost. Very expensive, but helpful and mostly worth it.

    With 'Kaplan LSAT Prep,' it is very easy to understand what is expected of prospective Law School students, in what they need to expect, how to work each, and every sort of the different types of questions that are asked--and, their format(s), when using 'Kaplan LSAT Prep' to prepare for the exam, and succeed in doing as good as they have applied themselves via the preparation material(s)! 'Kaplan LSAT Prep,' could honestly not really be any more great than it already is; through breaking down the differing questions/formats of questions (Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, as well as the Writing portion that will be proctored through the LSAT exam. Be Creative/Thorough in any, and all writing parts of the entire application process (i.e. - Make their Personal Statement Unique, and one of a kind, or Explain in great detail just exactly why, and for what reason(s), they are so interested in being able to be a Juris Doctorate candidate. 2.) Do not write, or give false information about themselves, or pertaining to anything for that matter - because wanting to be a J.D. candidate means, that one is interested in bringing about justice, and truthfulness to light; in various types of ways attorneys have the ability to! Thus, starting off by being, or acting as if they are something that they're not - will not come back on them as a positive thing!!

    I used Kaplan for my test prep, and I was happy with the course, materials, methods, and instructors. I started out the course as a fairly high scorer (~165) and ended up consistently scoring 174-176. I credit the Kaplan materials for assisting, although I think the most important factor in LSAT success is hard work and putting the time in to preparation.

    I really enjoyed Kaplan. I was originally using a different LSAT Prep course and was not doing well at all. I started using Kaplan and my score increased over 10 points. I liked how Kaplan offered classes with a live tutor.

    I felt that the course did the best it could to teach a complicated test that requires some innate skills to flourish. The test bank they provide was the most "worth it" component in my opinion because I used them to get used to real testing conditions. The explanations sections within the materials were also very useful. The least useful part of the course was the pre and post practice tests. They did not accurately reflect the score I ended up getting, likely because I dedicated more time to studying only after I had gone through the whole course.

    I took a cold practice exam and got a 167. After a thorough course with Kaplan the best score I got was 164. Part of that decrease may be that I was lucky on the first exam (hence only three stars) but I was discouraged by the fact that I was never able to reach my 167 again.

    Kaplan was overall a very helpful prep course for me. The access to every disclosed LSAT exam was excellent and extremely helpful. The in person class was also very helpful and I thought my teacher was smart and helpful. It was not inexpensive, but it was well worth the cost. The virtual personal tutor I did not find helpful, which is why I am giving it a 4 and not a 5.

Take plenty of time (6+ months) preparing for the LSAT and know it’s okay to take it more than once. If financially feasible, apply to many schools because you never know what some admissions offices may be looking for.

    I ultimately did more self-studying for the LSAT than through the Kaplan prep course, which I had gotten for free through my undergraduate pre-law department. The teacher was helpful and answered all my questions but overall the material itself was easier for me to learn on my own.

    I really enjoyed how the course was organized overall. It was simple to track your progress and the topics covered went in an order that made the subject matter very comprehensible. The online quizzes and practice tests broke down exactly what areas I needed to improve on and where i was going wrong.

    I really enjoyed learning with Kaplan. They did a great job of starting at the very basic levels to give you the tools you needed for success, instead of just piling on practice questions. I felt like my instructor was actually invested in my learning and felt like he explained topics clearly. I also improved significantly on my score and felt confident to tackle any kind of question using the skills we worked on in class.

    This course gave a lot of very helpful and practical tips for how to best study for the LSAT. The instructor was very reassuring about the pace of improving our score, which helped a lot. The instructor was also very available to us outside of the course itself to ask questions and go over practice sections we were struggling with.

    I took an in person prep course through Kaplan and I thought it was perfect for my learning style. I'm not extremely self-motivated when given no deadlines and free rein. Because of that, I was happy to take a class that forced me to study x amount of hours a day/week/month and be accountable for a certain day in class. I enjoyed the online access as well. After your class ends, you still have access to all of the materials. You really can't go wrong with this course.

    I did the Self Paced LSAT prep with Kaplan, and I really enjoyed it. It allowed me to balance working in the summer while doing the course, as well as taking my fall semester with the course as well. They have a Higher Score Guaranteed promise as well, where I was able to start the course fully over again at no charge once my course had expired. It was very beneficial and honestly a great program!

    Kaplan was a great resource for me while I was juggling finishing my Bachelor's degree, a new marriage, and applying for law school. It was difficult for me to find time to study, so it was nice to be able to go at my own pace and stop and start as needed. Kaplan also offered many helpful tips for determining what kind of question was being asked. It also vastly improved my abilities on the writing portion of the exam. Studying with Kaplan gave me the confidence and comfort I needed going into my exam. I truly believe it helped me succeed.

So, don't slack off on those last few study questions or on the last paragraph of your personal statement--put in the time, do your best work, and show the admissions committees who you are as a person. You will be just fine, and you'll be grateful you did what you could to end up at the right law school for you.

    Kaplan is a great source of information and great study prep tool for those living a busy life, balancing LSAT studying and a job and family etc. Instructors are very responsive and encouraging. I was able to get any and all of my questions answered either during an online live class or post session via email. Due to COVID, I was doing all of my prep from home and the twice weekly Kaplan classes helped to me on track and focused. I highly recommend to anyone prepping for the LSAT to consider Kaplan!

    While I was studying for the LSAT, Kaplan was an amazing resource. Living a busy life, it is hard to find time to study, Kaplan was great for being able to go at your own pace and it was easy to pick up where you had left off. It offered great tips and tricks regarding the LSAT test along with the writing portion. I do not believe I would have done nearly as well as I did on the LSAT if I did not study with Kaplan. I would recommend this studying tool to anyone who is preparing to take the LSAT.

    I highly recommend Kaplan for their LSAT preparation course. I had used Kaplan in the past for my nursing NCLEX exam so I was already familiar with them. Yet again I was pleasantly surprised with the great materials Kaplan provided. I was extremely impressed with their online classes. The format was perfect! I also participated in the in-class learning, but preferred the online content more. Kaplan was also a great resource in providing up to date information on the change in format to the LSAT-flex. Kaplan extended my access to resources free-of-charge when my exam was scheduled due to COVID-19 test cancellations. I was highly impressed with their content and would recommend them to anyone hoping to prepare for law school. I increased my score from start to finish by 11 points!

    Full Review on Kaplan LSAT Bootcamp courseBy the suggestion of an attorney, I originally purchased the LSAT Prep Plus 2020-2021 by Kaplan in February 2020 when I first decided to take the LSAT. While studying the 1000p book, it became apparent to me that I needed instruction from a teacher(s) in addition to studying the book. It also became apparent that I would need much more practice than I anticipated. Coincidentally, COVID happened shortly after I purchased the book and I was furloughed. That blessing in disguise taught me I needed to dedicate my full time to studying for the LSAT if I was to fulfill my goal of taking the test before 2021. I took some free online Kaplan courses and knew it would be a quality fit for me. I moved to a different state to live with a family member while I dedicated myself full time to studying for the LSAT. With the money I took out of my 401K I purchased the Kaplan LSAT Bootcamp course. This intensive program made the best sense for me. I thought I had learned much through the 1000p book but for me, it was just the beginning. The LSAT Bootcamp course was a full time dedication requiring 5 days of week of online courses. The teachers were great, knowledgeable and worth the price of admission. Having someone explain in (as close as we can get in COVID times) person, albeit online webcam, was so much more valuable to me than just reading a book. I never would've scored well enough to be admitted into law school if I didn't take this course. On a final note, after studying for and taking the LSAT, I've come to the conclusion that the best advice I can give someone who will also do it is the following:You must dedicate many many hours to this test. Probably more than you think you initially should. The key to me was practice tests and questions, and Kaplan provides as many of those as you can handle. I found that I didn't start getting passable LSAT scores until after I took the LSAT Bootcamp course and then spent 8 hours a day practicing, practicing, practicing. Even when it seems grim, you'll see that the needle on your score gauge starts to move. The LSAT Bootcamp course was awesome, you get a personal tutor for a limited amount of hours and a small group to work with. Ultimately, though, your score will be directly proportional to how many practice tests and questions you practice on, in my opinion. Good luck!

A good personal statement can make a difference. In addendums, I included old Corrective Actions that I received from jobs even though they were for very minor infractions. When in doubt, include everything.

    The prep book and the online course were moderately helpful to get accustomed to the LSAT, however, I thought my score jumped tremendously when i began to practice using past LSAT questions previously released from LSAC. That aside, I was glad i took a course to keep my studying on track.

    I felt like Kaplan was very purposeful in everything they included in the prep course. Having a live online teacher actually walk through LSAT questions was very beneficial.     I participated in the in-person training course. I cant imagine having taken the LSAT without Kaplan. Not only was i provided an extraordinary instructor, but Kaplan gave me all of the course material i needed right away. Also, the material was EXTREMELY informative and helpful. The cost is not bad considering how difficult the LSAT is, and the amount of training that it requires. Thank you, Kaplan.

    Before taking Kaplan's LSAT course, I wasn't even sure how to go about all these different questions. Frustrated and disappointed from my first Prep test score, I decided it was time to actually invest in my prep, invest in my future at law school, and most importantly invest in ME! I raised my LSAT score by 25 points in 8 weeks by studying 20 hours/per week before the LSAT. I am now hoping to graduate from law school and begin my career as a lawyer in the sports industry. While I personally did not complete even all of the written material from my package, let alone all the extra online content -- I still was able to achieve a score that got me into multiple top ten schools and a # that allowed me great financial freedom (scholarships love a good LSAT!) with my selection of where to attend.

    Kaplan was very useful when studying for the LSAT. I was able to improve my score by about 10 points by the end of my course. My instructor was very approachable and even kept in touch with us after we took the exam to see how we were doing and where we ended up getting in to law school.

I definitely think that Kaplan provided good resources and a good instructor, but I would recommend taking the prep-course in person.     Kaplan's LSAT Prep Course was excellent in preparing me for the LSAT! I had no idea what I was getting myself into before starting the Kaplan course and would not have succeeded without it. I appreciated having access to many course instructors if I had questions, as well as being able to use the many video lessons provided online. Additionally, I felt as though the material was explained in a methodical way and allowed for success by providing a lot of time for practice. I also think the most beneficial aspect of the course was being able to take full length practice tests. It really helps you get a feel for the timing of the real test.

    I took two different tutoring approaches. I tried an in-person one to one tutoring and then an in-person class. Unfortunately, the one to one was not the best tutor and Kaplan did not have any other tutors available for one to one in person. I didn't like the fact that I was told this after I paid and it was one of the most expensive packages. I felt like my real tutors were the online channel professors that Kaplan offers. I contacted Kaplan to see if I could take an in-class course with my package and fortunately, they told me it was included. I decided once more and took the opportunity since I thought being around other students that had the same goals as me might help! Luckily, the tutor we had was great. She really helped me improve my score and really seemed to care about her students. She actually taught me techniques and strategies that the other tutor never even cared to mention. The in-class tutor really helped me feel like I didn't waste my money after all. If you don't feel comfortable or feel like you are wasting your time with a tutor, let Kaplan know! I am sure they will try their best to help you get the resources you need to improve your score.

    I attended the Kaplan test prep course in a classroom with an instructor. The content was very comprehensive and I really appreciated Kaplan's strategic approach to each section of the LSAT. Additionally, Kaplan broke down the point structure of the LSAT so students knew in detail where they should be focusing their time/energy and when to move on to the next problem. After not dedicating enough study time to my first series of Kaplan courses I was granted the opportunity to take another in person classroom series for free.

    I began my LSAT prep with self-study. I read all of the Powerscore books and had improved my LSAT score pretty dramatically just by self-study. However, I wanted to reach higher, and so I began studying with Kaplan. The approach with Kaplan is, in a lot of ways, the opposite of Powerscore. They teach you to read the question before you read the text and delineate specific approaches to each of the sections. I really liked incorporating that into my test approach. I was able to get in the 87th percentile on the LSAT with a score of 163.

    Using strictly the cheaper online resources, I did well on my LSAT. If finances allow, definitely get an in-person tutor. I only used the online resources due to money constraints and, though the online resources did make a difference in my LSAT score, it was harder to discipline myself to study and master the concepts as quickly as I could have with an instructor.

    Great prep course! I liked the online class option as it gave a lot of flexibility and the instructors were all super positive and gave positive reinforcement. The group chat method during class took some adjustment. I didn’t love the personal chat option with the instructors if you needed additional help during class. It was hard to wait for feedback from the personal chat while trying to keep up with the class. Otherwise, I really liked Kaplan and all of the resources it provides - especially the live channels that go deeper into the subject matter.

    Kaplan was a great choice for me and I was able to improve my score significantly. I took an in-person class that met on weekends. The online resources that track your performance and isolate the areas you struggle with were the most valuable part of the program to me. I was able to identify and target problem types that I had issues with much more easily than if I had tried to dot he same thing on my own. The practice exams were also really helpful, and the in-person classes host live simulated practice exams that prepare you for the real thing. I would highly recommend Kaplan to anyone for LSAT prep. It helped me structure my studying and the resources were awesome.

    I am glad that I chose Kaplan for my LSAT prep goals. Overall it's a great program, and they've got the LSAT down to a science. I chose the online live program, because those instructors all have a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching the LSAT courses. They all very positive and encourage lots of questions - during class time or outside of class via email. They respond promptly (generally within a few hours - always within 24 hours) and the answers are extremely thorough. The study and lesson books are great supplemental tools to practice during and after class. I like that you take assessments after each class to track your progress and so that the program can generate study resources based on the areas that you need to work on.

    I didn’t feel Kaplan gave me a solid foundation to excel on the LSAT. The instructor was fine, but the course is too short, and doesn’t focus enough on how to take the exam, nor how to re-engineer one’s mind to be successful on the LSAT. The course is not cheap, and I could have received a similar score by self-studying

    I thought this prep was extremely helpful in assisting me with my LSAT prep. It allowed me to better manage my time and the practice exams really give you a good idea as to how the questions are worded and what to look for during the LSAT. The only thing I would say is that the actual LSAT is more difficult and took a little more thought and analysis than the practice exams. But I guess that's why its just practice!

    I took a live, online course to prepare for the LSAT. Prior to that, I had sat for one LSAT exam to understand what my diagnostic score was. The course really helped in terms of having a surplus of material to use to prepare for the exam, and for learning tricks in how to cut down the time from certain sections (primarily Logic Games). I also enjoyed the flexibility of the online course and that it felt like I was working with a group of other students, even though we were located everywhere. I will say that after taking the LSAT a second time and still wanting to improve my score further, I did choose to seek the help of a personal tutor as opposed to a tutor from Kaplan for one-on-one because I had not heard great things about that experience. I found my personal tutor to be very helpful in getting me my desired score, focusing my weak areas and ensuring that I would be able to get into a program with enough scholarship (almost full) to make law school a reality.

Manage your time wisely, study regularly and effectively for the LSAT, but also do not overwork yourself. I took over several months in between my exams and found that my scores jumped up from just releasing some of the pressure and allowing myself time to be away from the test for a while. Additionally, while the LSAT is certainly important, it is not the only aspect of your application that matters. If you study as much as you can, write a compelling personal statement, and do a superb job during undergraduate, then you will be able to get into the law school of your choice, and be in an amazing professional position.

    I decided to take the Kaplan in-person course after not performing as well on the LSAT the first time as was necessary for my first-choice law school. It turned out to be a great decision! The in-person instruction, the online videos, and the practice exams were very effective in helping me improve my LSAT testing skills. All of the instructors were amazing and clearly enthusiastic about helping people with their LSAT prep. In the end, my investment paid off and my LSAT score improved by 11 points on the raw score and jumped from the 60th to the 87th percentile. And now I'm on a full scholarship at my first-choice school!

    I completed the live prep course online. Overall I found it very helpful and it improved my score significantly. The lessons themselves sometimes were not as helpful and with the online version it was easier to be less engaged than 1 on 1, but Kaplan provided a lot of resources along with the lesson which were very helpful.

    Very good quality material. Be particular though about your instructor. I took the in class option twice because my first instructor was trash. He did not know the material well and did not explain effectively either. He pretty much just read from the teacher's guide. The second instructor was much more involved and adapted to our questions and was able to troubleshoot our issues much better.

    I took this course twice. The first time, my instructor (older and futher removed from law school) was trash. He did not adequately explain concepts and materials. He often repeated explanations directly from the book multiple times without accounting for the nuances of what we didn't understand about it.The second time I took the course was much better. Thanks to Kaplan's policy of allowing students to retake at no cost, I obtained a new instructor who was a 2L law student and much better able to teach the material.

    I took the Kaplan prep course and found it extremely helpful. It taught me basically everything I needed to know about the mindset of the author's behind the LSAT so that I could identify each type of question, why it was being asked, and how to solve it. From there, it was just a matter of practicing until I could implement what I had learned and execute it on the test within the time limit. But without Kaplan teaching me what to do and how to do it, I would have been lost

    I used the Kaplan LSAT test prep books to prepare to the LSAT. The logic games book was particularly helpful, as it is not a subject with which I was familiar. The books are straightforward and give helpful advice and thorough practice. I did not find the supplemental workbooks as helpful. I think that the information provided in the primary books are sufficient for learning how to use the test. If you want extra test prep questions, I found the free resources offered by LSAC to be more helpful. I cannot speak to taking one of the guided courses, but I found the self-guided books quite helpful and would recommend them to others.

    I took the Kaplan LSAT prep course after having been awarded it through my university's pre-law advising program, and am not sure I would have paid to enroll otherwise. I was very thankful to have had the opportunity to be in a classroom setting learning the fundamentals of the LSAT with an expert teacher, and that was the best part of the course! My instructor was open to questions, knowledgeable, and had a lot of experience. Beyond helping teach students the basic format and content of the test, though, I didn't think the class was necessarily a better alternative to self-study. Ultimately I studied for the LSAT having to almost discard much of the question type strategies Kaplan taught me, because I discovered I retained information better in other ways, but I have no doubt other students benefited greatly from them.

    I do not recommend this course. The strategies taught did not lead to any understanding of logic but rather were full of time wasting strategies that were shaped to feel productive. Strategies such as reading the answers in the order D B E C A (the order of likelihood the answer is correct according to the course) and to "pick it and quit it" by not reading all answers hurt overall understanding. Once I unlearned these strategies and learned to focus on the logical analysis intended by the test, I was able to increase my score by 13 points compared to the Kaplan score I received. I was given much more advice by this course that cost me time and money that only hurt my progress.

    I took the in-person class and I found it very helpful as an introduction to the test. I would recommend it anyone who has little to no background with the test and just wants to figure out where they should allocate time in terms of studying. I tend to think that at the beginning, in most cases you will either gravitate naturally to logic games or reading and comprehension and that figuring out where you are strong initially and where you need to spend more time to get better was very helpful. The vast amount of tests to practice on meant you were never just remembering a question or logic game but learning how to answer the questions.I believe the class works great to figure out if you want to go forward with the test and applying to law school and that if you want to get more in depth tutoring on a 1-1 basis, there were plenty of Kaplan resources to help you.

    I took an in-person Kaplan course with about 20 other people in New York. The instructor was both very smart and very helpful. He went through testing strategies for each section type on the LSAT, and we went through each of the main question types on the puzzles section. I found that having regular meetings made me considerably more likely to study independently. I would definitely recommend an LSAT prep course for anyone who needs the motivation to study. My one complaint is that the class was generally geared towards the middle of the pack. If you take a practice LSAT and score in the 160s before taking a course, then there is probably a class that is better suited to your needs.

    This course was very expensive, but if you have the money and time, will definitely bring your score up. I started out on practice tests scoring around a 150 and ended up scoring a 164 on the real test. The best part about this program is the complete set of old practice tests, which are hard to find elsewhere, so you can drill over and over again to perfect your weak areas.

    The LSAT prep course I took from Kaplan was live with an online supplement. I enjoyed the live class because it was real interaction with an "expert" that was able to unpack the complexities of the LSAT and help you find the best approach to figuring it out. What I did not enjoy about this approach, however, was that some of my classmates did not seem to take the class as seriously as I did. For example, there was a girl who was late to literally every class and sometimes left early. This girl also asked the dumbest questions and took up a lot of our teacher's attention. What's worse is that a lot of the questions she asked were addressed when she was not there. I do have to add, however, that the online component was amazing! The LSAT channel has live classes with a live teacher who is presenting on screen while co-teachers and other students are in a chatroom sort of setting. I felt like my questions were answered and I still go that live interaction with the teacher, but there was less time wasted by uninterested students because everyone in the chat wanted to learn. I could also find archived lessons that had been previously recorded and they were all organized by topic. This was hands-down money well spent! If I could go back, I would definitely purchase the online version of the prep course. By the way, I don't mean that as an insult to my teacher at all. He was great and he couldn't help the ignorance of the other students.

    I really enjoyed this program it was very intuitive and nicely prepared, planned and presented. I found that the instructional material correlated very well with the practice exams and questions. Lots of opportunities to try out your new skills and get some immediate and in-depth useful, applicable feedback and correction. With that being said, I do wish that I had access to an actual live speaking and breathing human being to work through some of the aspects of the course that were not so relatable and understandable for me to absorb and correct. But other than that, I love it!

    When starting the process of finding the right method of preparing for the LSAT, I was told by various persons, who are already attorneys by trait, using an online course would assist me in obtaining a better LSAT score and greater opportunity to gain entry into the law school of my choice. After many hours of research and deliberation, I found that Kaplan LSAT offered a variety of different programs to meet my needs.One of the exclusive features of the Kaplan program that provided for a better system of learning was their Smart Reports technology. It allowed me to improve my understanding of my test taking performances. It also gave feedback and recommended specific assignments geared towards my deficiencies. After using the Kaplan program, I quickly learned their staff understands as a student I was only as good as my greatest weakness. Accompanying the assignments was the LSAT Channel. The instructors were intelligent, and I found this to be a fantastic feature of Kaplan LSAT prep. It offered live and interactive material for me to continue beyond standard studies other prep courses offer. There were over 75 full length exams and over 8,000 released LSAT questions.     I used the In-Person PLUS program and I definitely thought it was worth it. You are provided with a teacher who had to achieve a high score on the LSAT (I forget the exact number she mentioned but I believe it was a 170 or higher). Your teacher provides a couple different methods to go about finding your answer, and explains them thoroughly; along with if they happened to know any particular tricks that they utilized. My class size was really great, with only 8 of us, so I felt like I had ample opportunity to ask questions. We would work problems on our own and go through how each of us solved them, and the teacher would point out where we went wrong so we could adjust our thinking.

    I think the class is helpful in teaching the basic concepts behind the LSAT, but the best resource is the online portion. You are granted access to several tests and timed sections, which is the best way to practice. The class will give you an overview on how to tackle a section and provide some tips and tricks, but overall the student should be proactive in utilizing the online tools and practicing (timed) as much as possible. I would recommend the class especially to those like myself who are procrastinators/have trouble motivating themselves to study - it'll hold you accountable!

    I did the self-paced study and I have mixed feelings about it. I found the content helpful, and it taught me valuable strategies, but after months of studying I got the same score on my LSAT that I got on my diagnostic test! I went online and found that many others had the same experience. After this experience, I still used those strategies but instead of working on problems and watching videos, I did nothing but practice tests - multiple per week. Only then did I see my score increase. Overall, I kind of wish I had gone with another company to learn the skills. I used them, and it was helpful, but it was really costly for me to take the LSAT again and change my approach completely.

    The initial classroom class helped me a lot. Maybe because I had not even started studying for the LSAT beforehand. I went from a 134 on practice exams to 163 on my January LSAT exam. However, afterward, my progress plateaued. I took advantage of the higher score guaranteed and got not satisfied with my score benefits. This time I received personal one on one tutoring. But my score went down three points to a 163. So Kaplan is a great way to begin your studying. But afterward, if you have a goal to improve your score I would recommend looking into other alternatives.

    After researching over twenty companies, I ended up signing up and using Kaplan for my LSAT Prep course. I really feel that Kaplan prepared me better than any other course could have and would have. They have proven methods that really taught me a lot. There are in class room, online and extra questions all as opportunities to learn. I did end up doing better on my LSAT but not as well as I would like. I truly blame myself for that because I rarely practiced at home due to my personal issues I had. I am scheduled to retake the LSAT next month and I am still able to login to watch the channels and utilize the full length tests, and practice questions. I would highly recommend this to a friend or anyone.

    I was introduced to the Kaplan LSAT Prep by a fellow co-worker. We had used Kaplan prep when I was a nursing student, so I was familiar with the name. I chose the live online version, and I had classes once a week for 4 hours. It was a great experience. My teachers were always on top of it, quick to answer questions, and willing to slow down and take extra time on topics the class was struggling with. They were always available via email, and were even willing to do tutoring sessions individually. My favorite part about the Kaplan Prep was the availability of content. There were hundreds of practice questions that each came with an explanation and review, two separate books, 3 full practice exams, and the LSAT Channel which had live and recorded sessions for more in-depth practice on dozens of sections. I would absolutely recommend any of their prep courses, and will use them again for my bar review.

    I chose the live in person option, which included a lot of online content, in January of 2018. Unfortunately, I did not find most of the material helpful at all. The instructor was knowledgeable and personable, but he had to get so much content in, in such a short time that there was no room for many questions. If you didn't get something in class I didn't feel like there was an opportunity to get help. Also, there seemed to be a lot of "cheats" rather than content specific explanations. I did not improve my score at all during the course, but once I semf studied with other materials I imply instantly. This course also felt like it was for those who already had been prepping for a while, which was not explained. Overall, I paid 1,200$ for no improvement. I had much better luck self studying, but everyone learns differently! I also heard that most of the questions Kaplan uses are not official ones, which is a red flag to me. I wish I would've done my homework before ordering this, so do your research unless you want to waste 1,200$ like I did!

    I purchased a Kaplan book in order to study for the LSAT and I think it worked great. They had plenty of practice questions, four practice tests and gave you great ways to study for the test. I had taken the LSAT without studying at all and then after getting my score decided to buy a book and actually study. I didn’t want to spend too much money on test prep which is why I bought the book instead of getting tutoring or doing a more expensive online prep course. With the book as my study aid I was able to learn new ways to take the LSAT and each section included in it. The practice questions and tests also helped a lot since I was able to apply the learning methods that were taught in each section. I did have to be diligent about sitting down to study, but it was well worth it.

Very self-motivated, Nobody is checking up on your work progress. Course is 2x week, 4 hours each. The only real detriments are inherent of any online self motivated class, even this one with the scheduled weekly courses.

    This course might be helpful for some people but it was not helpful for me. I took the LSAT twice, once using Kaplan and once studying on my own and I did significantly better studying on my own. I think that the methods they teach take too much time on the test to be useful. Just learn the types of problems you will see and figure out the best way for you to solve them.

    The tricks on how to approach each type of question were key to my improvement. Logic games are not all that logical so the steps on how to answer the questions were really helpful. Reading comprehension was my weakness seeing as though English is not my first language but I saw a significant increase in this area. Finally, the process of elimination for multiple choice questions was the most helpful technique I learned.

    I didn't take the prep course, however, I used the Kaplan LSAT materials. The Kaplan LSAT book was the most helpful resource I used to study for the test. It's constructed by various LSAT experts and gives great advice and strategies to help you understand each component of the test. There are mini "tests" at the end of a concept for you to check your knowledge of what you just learned. Also, there are tests at the end of every section to test your knowledge of all the concepts you just learned.

    The Kaplan Prep course was enormously helpful. I did not do as well as I needed on my first LSAT, so I decided to bit the bullet and pay for an in-person class. The actual classes were helpful in terms of asking questions and forcing myself to take 3 full-length practice exams, but the real gold is the online content. There are dozens of recorded lectures with some really awesome instructors that help you break down the material. And you can tailor it down to the types of questions with which you need the most help. If you learn better in an actual classroom, it's probably worth it, but I would definitely at least buying the online version.

    The in person portion of the prep course was helpful and it gives you a chance to ask your questions in person but I found that doing the practice tests with answers/explanations on my own was the best way to prepare for the LSAT. Kaplan has a lot of online resources which were not very helpful to me. They have a lot to offer, which is why it is so expensive. But I do not think you need everything they provide to do well on the LSAT.

    The Kaplan LSAT prep course benefitted me tremendously. I completed the live-online prep course which provides users with a live, weekly class session, as well as numerous online prep tools. My instructor was knowledgeable, accessible, and supportive throughout the entire process. LSAT prep can be difficult so having an instructor available to answer your questions as you proceed is of the utmost benefit. Likewise, the many practice exercises and exams that are available to Kaplan users provide more than adequate practice opportunities and make it easy to plan study time according to your schedule. Another benefit to using Kaplan is that, as you proceed through the coursework, they analyze your strengths and weaknesses to offer study recommendations for the future.     I took a live, online course to prepare for the LSAT. It was great to have the opportunity to get real-time feedback from a coach and get complete answers to my specific questions. The online course gave the feeling of working with a group of other students, even though we were located all over the country.

    I love this prep so much I’m using it for my Bar prep as well! No better plan or set of people to help you in the most pivotal time of your life! It’s the best and I’m so glad I took Kaplan and will take them this summer!

    Great course book in that the strategies and practice test prepare you well for the exam. My only experience that was not outstanding was the estimated time that you need to dedicate. In order to do well on the exam, I felt like you need to regularly allocate 4+ hours at a time to take practice exams. The materials made it sound like you could do 30 min to an hour at a time. You need to dedicate more time to each study session than this.

    • What law school application advice do you have for prospective students?: Be genuine and passionate in your applicant statement. Think about your application as if there is only one spot left in the class--would you invest in you?Also, many people mistakenly think letters of recommendation are more powerful if they are from important people or professors of classes where the student got an A. They are not--they are most powerful LORs are from people than can deeply couch to your character of integrity, your initiative, or the adversity you have overcome. For example, if you get a generic letter from the President of your University, it probably won't be as good as a long, detailed, and passionate letter from your supervisor from a part-time job.

    The actual material was great. My in class teacher was not. He was very smart, but was not a good presenter or teacher. I did, however, do some online sessions and that tutor was fantastic!

    I did the course with a personal tutor and his attitude wasn't very encouraging. He didn't have too many helpful tips- would not recommend doing that plan option. The abundance of practice tests and the study books themselves were helpful though.

    • What law school application advice do you have for prospective students?: Kill yourself for the LSAT- a few points is the difference between a school that guarantees you a job and one that doesn’t. And if you do really well you can get a scholarship as well.
